It’s hard to believe that it’s now only two weeks until our first writer’s mini-conference. We’re excited and pleased to offer this conference.
We have two agents, three publishers, and three published authors to meet with. We have two tracks, writing craft and marketing with four workshops. Our keynote speech to begin the day is Mike Dellosso from southern Pennsylvania. You can find out more about him under the conference tab.
We’ll have devotions and worship, Christian fiction books and books about the writing craft for giveaways! A special treat for those attending: an ACFW logo magnet. If you’re not a member of ACFW, you can join both the national organization and our Pennsylvania State Chapter that day!
To cap the event, we’ll have a nine-member panel consisting of agents, authors, and publishers. Ask them any question you’d like!
We’re meeting at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College. It’s a lovely and professional setting. Lunch will be included, as well as beverage service throughout the day, and snacks available both morning and afternoon.
You won’t want to miss it! Saturday, November 7th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Can you believe it! I can’t. Here I am at a writer’s retreat in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains outside of Asheville, North Carolina, and I’m thinking a little less than three weeks in the future when we have our Keystone Christian Fiction Writers Conference.
It’s going to be a fabulous day. Literary agents Joyce and her son Jim Hart, from Hartline Literary Agency, will be there taking appointments. Destiny Image, Whitaker House, and Storyline Publishing will also be taking appointments for consideration. In addition, Christine Whitaker of Whitaker House and Jonathan Nori of Destiny Image are presenting workshops.
A full list of workshops and presenters is available on this site under the Keystone tab. As Chapter President, I am thrilled that we’re hosting this conference and we believe we’ve put together a stellar slate of speakers on a variety of subjects in two tracks, writing craft, and marketing.
It’s not too late to sign up. Hope to see you there!
We’re excited to announce the addition of agent Joyce Hart and publisher Gloria O’Donnell to our line-up of guests for our panel discussion. They will also take appointments.
For more information on Joyce Hart, visit here. For information regarding Gloria O’Donnell visit here. Gloria founded Storyline Publishing.
For more information, visit the registration pages on this site at this link. If you have questions regarding the appointments, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Welcome to the website for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW PA Chapter). On March 18, 2015, we became a new chapter of the national ACFW organization. We serve the Christian writers of Pennsylvania through monthly online meetings on a wide variety of topics. We serve as a hub for our member writers to connect with each other through a closed Facebook group and by supporting local clusters where members can meet face-to-face for mutual support, form critique groups, and form lasting friendships. Finally, we sponsor an annual Writer’s conference for our writers to get away and improve their skills, while networking and meeting new people in a fun and faith-filled environment.
Since we’re a new organization, we’re just getting our feet on the ground. But we’re not just waiting for the grass to grow under our feet. This past Tuesday we had our first online chapter meeting where Andy Scheer, a professional editor, presented Seven Secrets of Vigorous Prose. Chapter members who missed the meeting and are interested in the topic can contact Donna Smith to gain access to the recording.
Our next chapter meeting will be on May 28. Joyce Hart, of Hartline Literary Agency, will present What an Agent Looks for in an Author. Check the events calendar for details. Members will automatically receive an invite in the next week or so.
This website is another step forward for our organization. It contains an events calendar, contact information, and information on how to become a member of the chapter. We’ll continue to expand the website and improve the content in the coming weeks and months. For questions about content, corrections, or adding events to the calendar, contact the Webmaster.
Again, welcome to our new chapter and our new website. May God bless you in your writing endeavors.
