We’re Live!

Welcome to the website for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW PA Chapter). On March 18, 2015, we became a new chapter of the national ACFW organization. We serve the Christian writers of Pennsylvania through monthly online meetings on a wide variety of topics. We serve as a hub for our member writers to connect with each other through a closed Facebook group and by supporting local clusters where members can meet face-to-face for mutual support, form critique groups, and form lasting friendships. Finally, we sponsor an annual Writer’s conference for our writers to get away and improve their skills, while networking and meeting new people in a fun and faith-filled environment.

Since we’re a new organization, we’re just getting our feet on the ground. But we’re not just waiting for the grass to grow under our feet. This past Tuesday we had our first online chapter meeting where Andy Scheer, a professional editor, presented Seven Secrets of Vigorous Prose. Chapter members who missed the meeting and are interested in the topic can contact Donna Smith to gain access to the recording.

Our next chapter meeting will be on May 28. Joyce Hart, of Hartline Literary Agency, will present What an Agent Looks for in an Author. Check the events calendar for details. Members will automatically receive an invite in the next week or so.

This website is another step forward for our organization. It contains an events calendar, contact information, and information on how to become a member of the chapter.
